Senior Global Mobility Consultant

Purpose of Job

 

Manage and execute Global Mobility services in accordance with Grundfos’ global mobility guidelines and processes.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage international assignment life cycles from A-Z across different assignment types: long- and short-term assignments, commuters, foreign hired-in labor, local plus/foreign local hires, international rotation for graduates and apprentices
  • This includes:
    •     Act as Grundfos’ one point of contact for assignee, accompanying family and internal stakeholders
    •     Brief managers and BP on policy and process and conduct briefing with expat family
    •     Prepare cost projection and assignment compensation package
    •     Ensure compliance (e.g. with employment law, tax law, social security legislation, immigration law)
    •     Liaise with and coordinate external vendors (legal, tax, immigration, relocation, security, culture, language etc.)
    •     Instruct HR and payroll in Host Company and ensure correct taxation of compensation package
    •     Provide support and consultancy to assignee, accompanying family, managers and business partners during assignment

       

  • Provide advisory and consultancy to business on appropriate global mobility approaches according to Grundfos’ policies and processes
  • Provide advisory and consultancy within Global Mobility
  • Provide guidancy to HR Services support centers on mobility related tasks
  • Handle reporting
  • Execution of global mobility processes in accordance with Grundfos’ global guidelines and processes within the agreed deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation
  • Collaborate with other global mobility consultants to ensure global consistency in the handling of Grundfos’ global mobility policies and processes within HR Services
  • Collaborate with external vendors on continuous improvement of their services

 

Required Education & Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree within HR, Law, Finance, Economics or related field is required.  Masters Degree in Business Administration or other related area of study is preferred
  • 3-5 years’ of experience working with Global Mobility in an international organization
  • International experience (either work or study)
  • Strong understanding of international tax and/or immigration law
  • Must be able to maintain a valid passport to support less than 5% annual travel internationally
  • Numerically competent and strong analytical skills
  • Excellent process management skills
  • Ability to understand complex issues and communicate these in a simple way
  • Intercultural awareness
  • Independent, self-motivated personality
  • Strong focus on creating a good user experience
  • Strong individual contributor with good collaboration skills
  • Accurate, detail-oriented and well-structured
  • Able to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communicator, both written and spoken
  • Must be fluent in English (verbal and writing); Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
