With our sustainability report, Grundfos annually reports on our performance in terms of sustainability and responsibility.
Purpose of the report
The main purpose of the report is to communicate Grundfos’ contribution to sustainable development. Furthermore, the purpose is to provide full transparency about Grundfos’ performance in terms of sustainability and responsibility.
Another purpose of the sustainability report is to report to UN Global Compact, which requires its supporters to produce an annual Communication on Progress (COP). A COP is a public disclosure to stakeholders on progress made in implementing the ten principles of the UN Global Compact, and in supporting broad UN development goals.
Besides from reporting on our progress in terms of UN Global Compact, Grundfos also uses Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as a guideline. GRI is a reporting framework, and it sets out the principles and indicators that organisations can use to measure and report their economic, environmental, and social performance.
Furthermore, our approach of creating shared value is reflected in the report, which includes articles and reporting within the areas of PURCHASE, PROCESS, PEOPLE and PRODUCT, i.e. Grundfos reports on all aspects of our value chain.
Stakeholders
As the sustainability report covers all aspects of Grundfos’ value chain, it is relevant for a wide range of stakeholders, and they can be divided in to three groups:
Theme 2010
In Grundfos we engage in partnerships, teaming up with other companies and organisations to find ways to a more sustainable world. Therefore, the theme for our 2010 sustainability report is “Sustainability through partnerships”.
The report features among other things articles with examples of how Grundfos as a company enter into different partnerships with e.g. suppliers and NGOs in order to promote sustainability.
