Top Product Award recognizes the most popular manufacturers and suppliers of the year

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. —Readers of Building Operating Management recognized Grundfos’ MAGNA3, the most energy-efficient circulator available in North America, with a 2014 Top Product Award.

Introduced at the 2013 International Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo) and released for sale in July of last year, the MAGNA3 was chosen for the award from nearly 465 products. The awards honor the most popular manufacturers and suppliers of the year and are chosen by building executives who vote for the best products in a national survey.

“We were honored to receive recognition for the MAGNA3,” said Terry Teach, director of Business Development for Grundfos North America. “With the MAGNA3, our goal was to deliver a product that not just met but surpassed our customers’ growing demands. Now we’re seeing that demand for the MAGNA3 has greatly exceeded our expectations. It is smart pump technology made smarter, simpler and more efficient.”

With the highest energy-efficiency rating currently available for circulator pumps in U.S., MAGNA3 is an energy‐optimized, variable-speed wet rotor circulator whose adaptive intelligence cuts power consumption by up to 85 percent, as compared with conventional circulators.

MAGNA3 is the absolute forefront of smart pump technology. Grundfos is the only manufacturer to offer a variable-speed electronically commutated motor (ECM)-based circulator that uses an integrated logic algorithm to “learn” the varying energy-usage patterns of an application over time, enabling the software to automatically determine the lowest possible operating‐efficiency point to meet ever-changing demand.

MAGNA3 is built on 65 years of experience and has been subjected to more than one million hours of rigorous testing. Leveraging the company’s global competencies, the MAGNA3 was designed for the United States and Canada in Olathe, Kan., and assembled in Fresno, Calif.

The product will once again be showcased in Grundfos’ booth, #1531, at the AHR Expo Jan. 21 to 23 in New York City.
